Using Toyota Fob for 3rd Gen ES 300?
I have a 3rd gen ES 300 and the key fob died, I need to get a new one and I was wondering if I can just program the Toyota version of the fob or do I have to spend the extra money on the Lexus one?

You need the Lexus fob. I tried using a known working fob from my Solara on a friend's 99 ES, and the car didn't accept the remote.
