1995 - Trunk release button on door not working

Greetings:
My 2003 ES300 has a button at the top left inside the glove compartment that disarms the driver side trunk release. This is provided so that you can push the button and lock the glove box when giving a valet the valet key, effectively locking them out of the glove box and the trunk. You might check and see if your car is equipped with the switch in the glove box.
