99 Es300 Tranny,Solenoid issues
 

Hope everyone day is going better than mines , Currently have a situation, i was changing my tranny fuild and i accidently put to much, i realized the car was shifting funny after i started driving however when i noticed i put to much i already drove it on the freeway for 15 mins, so i change it again correctly this time only for it to continue to shift and idle weird , on a cold start the rpms are dancing going up and down, and sometimes the engine will shut off, i have to wait for it to get warm , and even after that the car will drive but it wont shift at all,:uh: the check engine light is telling me codes shift Solenoid "A" SL1 and shift solenoid "B' SL2 to in addition i had them replaced for 800 for parts and labor thinkin that would fix everything, but now the car is still doing the same thing, it wont stay at idle, and it will shut down and sometimes if it does stay at idle , it wont shift when driving , so i hook the computer to it again and now im getting codes Shift solenoid A "Electrical" and shift Solenoid B " Electrical", #1 circuit and #2 Circuit , im thinkin maybe the oil got to hot and damaged some wires or circuits or maybe theres somethin dirty that needs to be clean among the solenoids, but im out of money and need some advice , the car picks and chooses when to shift , or stay at idle, but when it does it shifts pretty good, which means the solenoids did help the problem. i had the tranny rebuilt 3 years ago so i dont think i need a new one , but im out of warranty., thanks for reading .

With the engine OFF, try disconnecting the battery for 10 min or so, than reconnect.

You have nothing to loose by trying this.

Also, did you use the specified transmission oil for your car? It should be indicated both in the owner's manual, and on the transmission dipstick.

Also, are you verifying that the fill is correct, measuring it with the car running and after shifting through all gears slowly?

If the fluid got hot, what would get damaged are friction discs - they would make the fluid brownish/dark and very smelly, instead of cherry red.
