Hi all-
So my factory radio died in my 1996 ES300 and I'm looking to buy a factory radio/cassette system to replace it (I don't want aftermarket). I've found one from another 96 ES300, <s>but it looks slightly different than what I have now</s> but it has the radio anti-theft system

Here's what my dead radio looks like now:


Here's what the new one I found looks like:


<s>If you notice, they are 99% the same, but the new one has a picture of a key with a little light underneath it on the left side. My dead radio does not have this. Before you ask, yes they both say "Lexus Premium Sound System" on the right side along with the Disc player logo.

1. What is the key picture & light?</s>
2. Will this work in my car?

EDIT: After searching online owners manuals, I've found that this particular radio anti-theft system is present on the 1992 and 1993 ES300 models. So maybe this new radio is from a 92/93? Will a radio from either of those years work on my 1996 ES300?
