Default trac light and abs light

son got a 2001 es300 and the trac light and abs light is on and when stoping the wheel is rolling like it wants to come off. when you brake it does not want to stop and shimmys I thought it was a strut and what not but im not sure. I have tried the search function to know avail. if any insight can be provided i would appreciate it. I told him to stop driving it until we figure out the problem. He is going through tires every three weeks or so. they are going completely bald. I think it a little more serious than an alinement.

Check your bushings and ball joints. To inspect the ball joints, raise the tire off of the ground and try to wiggle the wheel assembly Bach and forth, up and down etc. to ensure that there is no play. To inspect the bushings you may have to remove the wheel assembly. Basically look for any rubber parts in the suspension system that seem torn or degraded.

Sounds like you need new ball joints asap, maybe tie rod ends as well. It is an unsafe condition to drive a long time with.
