FWIW: If you intend to keep your car for more than a year after doing Inner Tie-rod end, use the proper wrench and secure the racks shaft from rotation while exerting force on it.
And DO NOT JUST BLAST THE TIE-ROD END WHILE THE RACK IS CENTERED!!! At the center of turns left to right the rank and pinion has much tighter tolerances so that when driving straight there is no free play. Twisting on the racks rack gear can open this tolerance and ruin the rack and pionion making a dead spot right in the middle.
Yes there are plenty of videos of people getting the Job Done, that doesn't mean it was the right way to do the job! The racks ends have flats so use a wrench or crows foot and secure the shaft while applying torque to Tie-rod.
JM2C especially when electric racks cost a small fortune!
