2002 es300 p0505
Today the check engine light came on in my girlfriend's 2002 ES300 as well as the TRAC Off and VSC lights. I checked the codes with an OBD II reader when she got home and saw that the P0505 code was registered. There was also a pending P0430.
Looking up the code on google identified P0505 as an IAC system malfunction. I'm finding it hard to find any specific information on what this means on the 2002 ES though. I can't seem to figure out if the car even has an IAC valve or not. Some seem to say that, since it was the first year with drive by wire, that it does not have one.
Does anyone have any experience with this? What components would trigger this code?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That would be referring to the IAC solenoid, and yes it has one like this:
Your's may have gone bad, but most likely is just really dirty. I would go ahead and clean it and your MAF sensor while your at it with an electronics cleaner spray from CRC. I would also clean your intake and check the air filter as well. After that, reset your system by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.
Here is a thread on the process:

If that doesn't solve the problem then it may be bad and need replaced, but it's an easy part to replace that Autozone has and is easy to access right up front!
