Nav Upgrade
 

I have a 2005 ES330 with the base package stereo in in. I see people selling the used OEM nav units on ebay for under 500. Is this a simple unplug the old and plug in the new? Is everything with the nav unit self contained or is there a unit tucked away somewhere in the car that has to be present for the nav to work? The one I was looking at is nav with Mark Levinson. Would I have to try to get the owner to give up the amp and speakers as well?

I have the ML/Nav system but have no idea if it would be plug and play in a non nave vehicle. I think the GPS senor is located elsewhere so you'd need that too. Also, as I understand it, the Sub is proprietary to the ML system so you'll need that to. Don't know about the other speakers.
