Default Finally getting somewhere.. Resprayed rear bumper damage.. and lots more to come !

Hey guys,

Just thought i'd share because I had nothing else to do today but repair some small damage to my car.

My car came wit ha rather large scratch on the bottom right hand side of the back bumper and it wasn't an issue but i thought i'd give it a touch up while I wait for my King springs to arrive (30mm lower) and for my window tint appointment (35%).

Before the base coat, this includes priming, wet sanding and more priming.

After the base coat is applied. It looks a little lighter than the rest of the body however i am yet to apply the base coat and the newspaper under it reflecting from the sun makes it look lighter than it should aswell

I'm getting my front struts replaced along with new lowering springs because i have to get my bearings done at the same time so i thought why not get it all done together when the parts arrive. I might give the callipers a hint of red but i'm still thinking about it.. and i've also purchased an original lexus antenna mast (mine broke ) for $125 AUD which is quite ridiculous but hey, it's Australia.. everything is expensive here.

Nice work. Would like to see the final result after clear coat.

What kind of paint are you using and did you get it color matched?

Paint your muffler black and brake calipers red or blue.

Clear coat has been applied but i have to wait 24 hours before buffing it out to give it that shiny finish.
I went down to my local automotive store ( supercheap auto ) and what they do is you give them the paint code from your car and they match it and then compress the liquid into a spray can.
Was thinking of doing the callipers red initially and probably will when i replace the springs + struts in a week or two... still awaiting the arrival coil spring insulators.
