1999 ES300 Nakaimich stereo - LCD display
 

Hi all - new to the forum. I have a 1999 Lexus ES300 with the Nakamichi stereo system. I went through 9 months of waiting for Pioneer Electronics to deliver a new LCD display screen (part CWM4319), $150 in labor to have my technician tell me the screen doesn't fit! So now I have to return the screen, and Pioneer says they don't make a screen for the Nakamichi stereo.

I will not put in an aftermarket stereo, and I cannot read the screen any longer. It is unreasonable to replace the entire stereo to fix the screen. Who makes the LCD screen for my Nakamichi stereo?

Just get a whole new head unit on ebay bro.

The cost of the repair for the screen will likely cost the same as a new nakamichi headunit I see lots for sale on ebay.

well no i was hoping you didnt return this ( CWM4319) i live in canada now and the pioneer website only works for usa and i thought the 2001 lcd was the same as 1998 but turns out i was wrong so i destroyed a perfectly good 2001 head unit, i was thinkingof getting a cheap double din after market unit but i fear that the sound quality will be worse as the only people i know who can set it up is best buys geek squad

just repair "not replace" the lcd screen. remove the lcd screen from the unit and send it for repair or DYI

the price of getting it fixed seems like it would be the same as buying a new lcd. Also i don't how to fix a bleeding lcd, if anybody could show me how that would be great!

i was referring to the OP for nakamichi LCD. Do a search in the forum. someone did repaired the bleeding lcd.
In your case you can buy it via ebay or via pioneer directly.

nobody is selling the lcd on ebay and for some reason 2001 entire units with wood grain and everything are as low as 50$ while 98 units are 400+$ ? and sadly pioneer won't deliver to canada, if you find the lcd please let me know thanks!

Do you still need the LCD for your Pioneer? I have a new one that I don't need anymore (upgraded my stereo instead). Hate to list it on evil-bay if I don't have to.

Thanks for the offer markg65! I sold the car a little while back so I no longer need the lcd. Put it up on Ebay and you will get tons of offers I'm certain!
