Default 2000 Cluster Lights. Need help.

Ok, so yesterday I took out my cars instrument cluster so I could replace the original incandescent bulbs with leds. But it turns out you can only change the check engine light and brake light and all those other lights including the turn signals and the prnd2l. The only problem is I want to change the lights behind the fuel and the temperature and speedometer and what not. I have literally. I mean, literally searched high and low on how I go about doing this but literally nothing has come up. I see things about 92-96 lexus clusters but not 2000. Is it not possible to? I took it apart the most I could searching for those stupid lights and nothing. I just want to know if it's a lost cause. Thanks.

The backlight illumination is done via a fluorescent tube so there are no lamps you to swap with LEDs.

I apologize for neglecting this for a while I've been super busy. But thank you so much for this. It really helped. Once again I took apart my cluster after I read this a while back and found that pesky tube that haunts me at night. The thing is since you made that previous post about it a while ago. Do you remember what it's called exactly or what I can use to replace it in my car, I'm in need of it still. But when I search floursecent tube for 2000 lexus es300 I find nothing. It must go by another name? Also, how deep of a hole would it make in my pocket, because I called the dealer near me and I totally ignored the name of it for some reason and found out they want 160 for just that.

I'm guessing the florescent tube isn't available as a separate part, but you'll have to buy a brand new cluster if you get it from the dealer.

Your best bet is the junkyard or a used cluster off eBay and grab the tube from those. See if you can find a low mileage one as they tend to yellow out the more they are used. Be careful when removing the tube - I broke one of mine when taking apart the cluster.

Alright, I'll try to look for part in a junkyard or eBay. Hopefully, I can find something. I'll make sure to be extra careful not to break it. Thanks again for responding. Also for making that detailed post about taking apart the cluster from before, it helped a lot as well.
