CD Changer ERR 2 message on 2001 es300
 

cd changer stopped working out of nowhere
i'm getting an error 2 message no matter what kind of disc I use, from what I've read online error 2 means the file on the disc is not found. but for why? my cd player worked fine one day then.... kaput. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe time to get rid of the stock stereo and go for a modern unit. Or you can try and find a replacement on Ebay but the cost will probably be about the same price a new system.

Try disconnecting the battery for a half hour to reset everything. If that doesn't work, with a known good CD (test in another car), then do what Lexus2000 said.
