Default ES300 Wheel Refurb?

My old Fav's wheels (well 2 of them) could use some refreshing. It's merely surface rust blemishes but it's starting to bubble through.

Wanted to find out if there is a quick matching "paint" for these color wheels and what any other members have done to correct this outside of a sanding and a paint-over.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Doesn't look like rust to me. Looks like curb rash, etc. Aluminum does not rust. You would have to get wheel shop to fix these for you. Looks like top layer of paint/clear coat is coming off, you would have to prep entire wheel and then repaint it.

My wheels had the identical problem. These wheels have two types of finish on them, the center area is machined/polished, the outer sections are painted. I removed the old paint, wet sanded, cleaned with acetone, painted with silver wheel paint then clear coated. The colour is close enough where you can't tell.

I believe from the factory the paint was not applied correctly which is why it peels and flakes off.

Thanks much for the replies. I have looked online and found a Lexus Alloy Wheel Repair Kit and am wondering if anyone has ever done this as a DIY with this or any other kit. More than likely I will dive into this myself but am curious if these kits are worth it or if it makes sense to just get 'em done professionally. Here is the kit I found:

That looks like exactly what you need. I didn't use a primer I guess I should have, so far it's holding up but who knows for how long. I did remove the wheels when working on them it made the job much easier. The hardest part was making sure I didn't sand the machined part of the wheel, and also masking the rounded edge took a bit of patience.

I don't know about in your area, but to get the wheels professionally repaired was way too expensive, one place quoted me $400, but they would also have made the entire wheel look like new by polishing it or whatever but mine didn't really need it.

That looks like my "regular" silver wheels, which are my winters and they're susceptible to salt/junk off the roads at all times. That's corrosion in the aluminum itself!
