Default Used ES 300 Question

Good afternoon all,
I've searched FAQ and couldn't find anything, so forgive me if this has been answered many times. I've got my eye on an '03 E300, 130,000 $9,000. That said, I've never owned a Lexus but know they're dependable. This car is very clean, Florida car. Can I get some feedback from the forum on what to expect if I do purchase? I'm in sales and would be putting on miles, highway. Does it have alot of miles left? Is that a fair price? Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hopefully a soon-to-be Lexus owner

I would suggest you check all records on the car before considering purchase. Also, if you're going to use this as your main ride. I would suggest you think about how many additional miles you'll be adding. I bought my '03 ES300 for less than $9,000 with 138,000 miles. They are very reliable and were built to exceed 300,000 if well maintained.

I know I wouldn't pay that much with that kind of miles on it. I looked around a bit because I am trying to sell my 03 ES300 (bought the wife a 2010 ES350)...you should be able to get it for a bit cheaper than $9K, unless it is super clean. Is the seller a dealer or private party? The ES is a great car and you will get many good miles out of it (if it has been well-maintained). Look at getting a Carfax on it before you buy...even if you have to spend $30-ish you'll have some peace of mind knowing that it hasn't been reclaimed from a flood or a major accident.

I'm looking at getting an 02 with much less mileage for not much more. I'd say 8k tops man!

I think that's too much money. Do you research and see how much they're going for

I know this post is from over 8 years ago but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents. Been driving a 96' ES300 for about a month now with 295k miles, yes over a quarter million miles. Absolutely no issues. I'm only the 3rd owner and it's been serviced at Lexus it's entire life but it goes to show that if you take care of any vehicle, it can last forever...

Edit: This has also been a wisconsin car it's whole life, very harsh conditions for a car this age.
