Default Mark Levinson Nav glitch

(see attached image for explanation)

I followed a tutorial already to remove this nav system out of my 2004 es330 and reinstalled to see if there was a wire loose or something-obviously didn't work.
Everything works (cd/radio etc) except the display. I can't access anything such as inputting an address to use the navigation.

Anything that shows on the display blinks and flashes-it also changes patterns or the direction it flashes when I go over speed/road bumps.

Should I replace the display? (If I do, are any aftermarket ones compatible plug and play?)

Thanks much!

Default replacing gps

Any suggestions on an aftermarket in dash GPS to replace this one? Are there any that won't require a rewire or harness?

Take a look here

...wait you already have the nav never mind you don't need the bezel. How much are you looking to spend? There are so many aftermarket units out there.

I don't really want to spend more than I need to... I think I be getting the Pioneer AVH-X2500BT?

Not exactly the same case, but I loved this dude's write up:

I'm going to do the same thing myself with a pricier Alpine unit:

I'm going to keep the car for awhile so spending the $850 on ebay I think is worth it. In your case, just get the harness and mounting brackets and get the unit you mentioned. I think that's what you'll need bare minimum. Good luck!
