Flasher blinking too fast

Left side turn signal flashing way too fast. I replaced burn out license plate light bulbs, all others work, what could be the problem? Is there way to check flasher unit itself?

You don't indicate what year your ES is; however, the fast blinking turn signals were a very common problem on the mid-90's ES models. By doing a search, you will find numerous threads regarding the problem.

In short, the problem normally involves the front turn signals. The bulbs fit into bulbholders that connect to the auto's electrical system through a printed circuit. The bulbholders fit into a hole in the side of the headlight assemblies. You insert the bulbholder and rotate it into the proper position. The fast blinking usually occurs when the bulbholder is not making a good connection (corrosion, perhaps?) with the printed circuit that surrounds the hole into which the bulbholder is inserted. The bulbholder has three small projections on its perimeter which connect with the printed circuit. These tips should be cleaned. It might also help to slightly adjust the connectors inside the bulbholder so they make better contact with the bulbs.

Unfortunately, in the mid-90's ES models, you have to remove the entire headlight assembly to access the turn signals. As I recall, there are three bolts that hold the assembly in place.

I don't recall any posting where the flasher was the problem, nor do I recall any where the rear turn signals were the cause.

No LEDs here, just factory lights all around.
