hi everyone.

The light on my A/C Button on the center console doesnt work. Some times it will come on but only stay on for a second or two then go off.

Im guessing it may be shorting out but hope some one on here can help.

when you push the button the engine sounds like the A/C works but no light.

Also think it may need recharging,it was last done in 2009.

I have just got the car from the mother in law and she kept all the receipts for the past 15 years.

What makes you believe it needs recharging? It doesn't blow cold air? Is your switch on "recirculate" or "fresh air"
You might have a hole in condenser or elsewhere in the system.
