Default MAF sensor for 2000 ES300

I am going to buy a new MAF sensor for my 2000 ES300. However, there are 2 version of this sensor - Variable Timing and Non-Variable Timing. Which one is for my car ?

Thanks,

Ching-Ho Cheng

Starting with the 99 model year the 1mz-fe engine on es300s included variable timing (vvt-i). So unless your es300 is a mutant you have variable timing.

Thank you so much for the clarification. I will get the Variable timing version of the MAF.

Hi Cheng,

Did you try use MAF cleaner to cleaned, I have to cleaned twice, and now it works good, mine is about 180,000miles, has never changed.

Frank,

I cleaned it once and reset the CEL. Now, CEL comes back again.
