I have had a 1995 ES300 for the last 12 years and put over 300K on it. Currently looking to get a 1999, 2000, or 2001 ES300. Today I looked at a 2001 ES300 Coach edition and a 1999 base model.

My question is the 2001 seem to have firm seats and the 1999 seemed to have cushy seats. I liked the firm seats much better and was wondering if anybody had any information on the differences. Was it just my imagination? Does the coach addition just change the leather or does it change the whole make up of the seat?

Coach changes the leather to perforated vs. standard leather. That's the only difference.

Perhaps the one you looked at was owned by a fatass at one point? Or had more mileage?

So there is no difference in the seats between the 1999 and 2001 models.
