question about loaner car

so i have noticed for sometime now that whenever i get my lexus service for whatever reason i have been getting a Toyota car:cry:. Now i understand that the dealer is Toyota/Lexus so it makes sense but i really dont like that. i have been getting Lexus for years now. So when i contacted dealer they were like well its a loaner and what ever car is available we will give you. I used to get lexus before.
I can guarantee that any new lexus owner who bought the car from the dealer will get a lexus as a loaner. I pay lexus fees (which is high), free car wash, etc so why on earth should i be getting a toyota car. Just sucks driving a toyota. :(

What loaner cars you guys get. Is it always been a Lexus?
PS: please don't say like " why do you go to the dealer" something like that. This is about loaner cars and not about servicing.

It depends on a few things age of the car, service history, what is getting done, and whether you bought the car there along with availability.unfortunately they rather give a lexus out to someone servicing a new ls460 rather than a 12 year old es300. I have gotten both Toyota and lexus loaners but I tend to get the Toyota more so with the old gs or ES ( I have gotten lexus loaners as well though fairly recently). We have a good relationship with the dealer as we buy a car from them at least every 5 years and we service our es300 gs300 rx350 es350 and lx470 when we had it, there. So there are many factors. If they have lexus' laying around you'd probably get one but if they are all out or expecting a busy day, the lexus may be saved for someone as stated earlier a newer lexus model. At least this is what I have seen/ experienced

Normally, when you own an older Lexus, the Lexus dealer will make all efforts to provide you with a Lexus car. The thinking is that you will fall in love with the newer model and hopefully will trade in yours.

If they lend you a Toyota, than they may not have had any Lexus available at that moment.

naw they have been giving me toyota for some time now. i even notified them early to have a lexus. i think i have to agree with gray_es300 in that since its a old ES because i bet if they have a customer who has a new lexus in for service they will give a lexus as loaner ,no doubt there.

You can go to the Toyota dealer and get a Toyota loaner the service is cheaper.

I don't go to dealerships with vehicles out of their warranty, but considering your situation, I think they're making a bad customer experience. You said you've been there on a regular basis, so you should have the power to write a complaint to their service manager. They might even reward you with something, if their care about their customer base.

well i did contact lexus 1st ..they replied saying all dealer are independent etc so they forward it to the dealer. Anyways the dealer did contact me after receiving the email but from their response i wasn't satisfied @all. Manager was saying like whatever car they have they would loan it. i told them that is not true and if a customer came with LS460L for a service there is no way hes going to give him a toyota ..thats just not going to happen. But he was still saying the same thing, so i just gave up.
i was like i hope he has a lexus for me next time or maybe he will give me a toyota echo..LOL
