thanks dave ill have a look, ive got a o/d light flicker,speedometer not working and trans acting funky ..threw code for sensor 1 replaced it now throwing sensor 2 Mechnic seems to wanna lean towards replacing accelerator cable or speedometer cable cannot find one

Does the odometer work? Speedo cable you can get from a generation 2 Camry. FYI the speed sensor is in the speedo head, so if the speedometer doesn't move it probably means the sensor is not sending out a pulse. The transmission relies on this signal.

wow ok, thank you for info! Would i go about just changing the whole speed head or replace the sensor back there on mine?

The sensor itself can be replaced but very unlikely it failed. You need to determine if the cable is rotating.

smart man, short part of cable will not turn now to locate replacement thanks again

Make sure you check the cluster to see that the mechanism moves freely. These cables don't normally break.

When spun from back if cluster it moves freely an tach jumps a bit ..from engine bay at upper cable it does not spin which leave me to believe that upper portion is no good? Still having a very tough time finding this part

This part is discontinued don't order new from any site that claims to have it, they don't.
