I don't thing that will help at all. Replace the Bosch sensor with a Denso oem direct fit. The track off code is giving another piece to the puzzle.

Did you check your wiring coming from the bank 1 sensor 1 to the ECM?

yes I did check the wiring but didn't find anything. a friend told me it was prolly a vacuum leak. he told me to get a thing of carb cleaning and spray it around the intake gasket while the car is running. he said if the motor sounds like its gonna cut off then I have a leak. never been so happy to find a problem with my car. ive been tryn to get rid of the cel for over a month. and I think I finally found the problem. ordered the gasket online. as soon as it gets here and I put it on I will let yall know. thanks so much for all the help

this car is driving me crazy. i put the gasket on and it worked as far as the small vacuum leak. it did fix the vacuum leak but within 7 mile my dam cel and trac off came rite back on. and now i have two new denso air/fuel ratio sensers upstream. car runs fine but i have got to get rid of this cel. after fixing the gasket and resetting the computer when the light came back on i put the snap on computer on it and it is still reading bank 1 senser 1 and bank 2 senser 1. any help will be very appreiated. plz tell me something and i will give it a shot. thank you

Okay so we have concluded that your car is NOT California Emissions. That's a good start.

What brand and what part numbers did you use? We have to make sure you're using the correct oxygen sensors, or else you're just throwing money away. Did you ever touch your downstream sensor? You said it looked like your upstream sensors

You likely need someone with test equipment such as a professional scan tool that reads live data and perhaps mode 6 data to see if the O2 sensors are performing correctly. They can induce a rich condition, and a lean condition to check the response of the O2 sensors for verification.

When the PCM sets a check engine light, it also saves freeze frame data of the engine condition / sensor readings at that time. A cheepo code scanner will only give the code, but a professional scan tool will let you access the freeze frame data stored by the PCM. A professional scan tool also allows the viewer to watch the sensor readings in action (live data) for a better understanding and interpretation of the actual issue. A decent professional scan tool can be purchased for $200.00 on up.

Are you absolutely certain you have the correct O2 sensors for you non-Cali car?

Get rid of the Bosch, I've had several Bosch O2s be bad right out of the box over the years on several different models/make.

After you replaced the gasket did you re-test with carb spray?

Yes I did recheck with the Carb spray and the leak is fixed. I tested the heater wires and I do have power. I just put both upstream in. These ones are Toyota. Both sensors have Toyota logo on them. I unhooked the battery to reset. Dam light came back on after 10 miles. Took the car back to a buddy of mine and he put in on the computer and its still reading b1s1 and b2s1. The car runs good no misfiring. I really want this light gone. Any help would be really appreciated.
