Default Driving me crazy- Faceplate

Hi everyone.
first post here.
I have an 06 ES330
bought it CPO 3 years ago.

The paint started peeling near the volume **** on the radio.
The Lexus dealership did me a "favor" and put some paint on there for me.
As you can see form the picture it's the wrong paint and makes it look worse...needless to say they didnt even cover everything up.

Anyway. How do I get this fixed. Can I get a new faceplate? I can't find one, only the whole radio!!

Your suggestions are much appeciated, thanks in advance!

Max

i called the dealer and they said that its not a seperate part, its only the whole radio unit.
am i getting hosed on that?
I cant justify replacing a working radio for some paint.

If you are a bit creative and handy, you can find something to camouflage that area with.

If for exmple you have a Dremmel tool, you can take a small piece of thin Plexiglass ( color f your choice) and shape it in a circle, or semi-circle to fit around the volume control ****. Maybe around both ***** if you prefer.

Another option is to buy a dash kit, custom made for your car. http://www.carid.com/wood-dash-kits.html

come to think of it, since it's minimal writing on it. I'd take the radio to a local paint shop/auto parts place that does paint match in a rattle can. They'll scan the faceplate and make a perfect match.

Sand, prime, paint, clear with matte or none at all.

Paint started peeling, faded volume label, poorer display, smaller buttons... When I look at the picture and compare it to my 98 ES, maybe it's just me, but I see production cost cuts and quality getting worse... Also, when I look at the leather seats of my 98 and compare them to the ones in my Camry XLE 94 I also see production cost cuts and quality getting worse...
