Default Please help to value 2004 ES330 Sport Design

I've come to own a 2004 Lexus ES330 SportDesign. It's in like new condition. It has 170k miles. It's got a new, dealer installed, transmission, with documentation....and all service was done by the Lexus dealer....and is documented. The color is Thundercloud. It has the Levinson Navigation and Sound system. Everything works like new. There is NOTHING wrong with it. The woodgrain trim inside is completely incredible. I need to sell the car and I can't value it because NADA and KBB don't have any way of showing the value for the Sport Design models. I've searched using Google and found that there are supposedly only 4,000 of these that were made......I'm just not sure where to begin here.

That's strange, it does have the black badges that the SportDesign had, but not the SportDesign wheels and no SportDesign badge on the passenger side. In any case, the package didn't change much on the car (aside from the wheels) and won't have much effect at all on the value. The Mark Levinson audio would help a little. Can I ask why you're selling it?

I had a 66 Mustang that a guy wanted really bad. He had this car and another to trade and it was a considerable uptrade. I don't really need more cars, I was hoping to make a few bucks by selling the 2 cars off. I'm a disabled veteran, so, every extra dollar helps!

This.

The wheels it should've come with are a 'mesh' type 16 in a charcoal color. The front doors should have a sport design emblem/lettering. Either way, those are minute details and could've easily been removed by the dealer at PO's request. Also seem to be missing the factory mats which have 'sport design' embroidered into them as well.

You still have what counts [IMO] which is the Black pearl badging and rare interior wood trim, not to mention the Navi is a value holder too.

I'd price it accordingly at 500$ ish more than say, a same year standard ES330 with the same options as this one. It doesn't add much more value [even the GS counterparts are priced similarly within the year ranges]

Thank you all for your responses. I really appreciate it. I was puzzled about the passenger side badge, because I was pretty sure I saw it.....I went out and looked and it is on there. I guess with the angle and everything, it isn't showing up very good in the pics. I found an article from when it was about to be released, and I found a thread around the same time, but, I wasn't able to find anywhere that people were excited for these, or that they were rare or sought after.....so, I thought I'd just reach out to you guys.

The values are all over the board and I don't know what is fair to ask for it. KBB says in excellent condition it's only worth 7k....but the KBB on Ebay, it says the regular ES are worth almost 14k....and that they recently sold for between 12-18k.

If this was yours, what would you ask for it? It's in like new condition, with a new transmission, 170k miles, and all dealer service.

you have to look at miles - 170Kmiles are not helping - it puts this car around 6-7K IMO.

Almost 10 years old, with 150++kmiles on the clock - this is what potential buyers will look at - miles and year. Replaced tranny could be actually a concern for some, it would be for me anyway.

You can forget about book values, go by what cars with similar miles/year sell for in your area.

I'd say about 7-8k, also I agree with the above poster. The new transmission is not a selling point, in fact it can be quite the opposite.
