Alloy wheel to rotor bonding problem?

Has anyone ever had a problem where the rim bonds to the hub/rotor (whatever it's called). I was trying to change a tire the other day, and it wouldn't come off. When I took it to a garage, they said that the above had happened. Anyone ever hear of this?

nope. can you specify/clarify "when i was trying to take off the tire the other day, it wouldn't come off"? i'm thinking here that the bolt rusted off/stripped or something...but i guess not. help us out here.

yup it has happened to my eclise, not a big deal, just get a rubber hammer (what is it called? a mallet?) and hit the back of the tire while the car is on the hoist and after 2~3 hits it will come off.

This is a common problem, Especiall on domestics. Case in point, Ford/Lincoln is having a major issue with this on the Navigator.

Rubbver mallets are very persuasive.

When rotating tires, its not a bad idea to apply a very thin smear of antiseaze to the back of the rim (contact surface to hub) and to the lug threads.
