Lexus ES300 Radio LCD Broken
My 1998 Lexus ES300 Radio LCD is broken. The display is blackened out.
I'm looking to buy a replacement LCD but can't find anything cheaper than $150 on ebay.
Any suggestions on places I can get a working LCD display for cheap?
Thanks

Pioneer is the manufacturer of the display. Their part number is CWM4319, which can be purchased here:

There is a link to a radio overhaul guide in my signature, it should contain all the information you may need.

If you want cheap, with a decent amount of features (dvd, aux/video in, bt, usb, sd, back up cam) my sd76mubt isn't bad. It's a lanzar but the sound quality is not bad.

That's an auction, so the price is not set. It also doesn't display the radio with everything powered on, so you never know what they mean by "working condition". I sent the seller a message, so we'll see what he/she says. Having said that, it looks like a good deal if everything is really functional.
I considered buying a used refurbished radio, before I decided to repair mine. What I noticed is that the all black Pioneer radios are rather rare at less than $150. The ones with the wood trim are more common, but they are not compatible due to a different electrical connection in the back. Also, the best looking refurbished radios had an AUX retrofit and were priced at well over $200, which I was not looking to spend.

I found one on Ebay with matching plugs and in black for $70. Buy it now. I went ahead and blocked it.
Only thing is that the last number in the part number is 0, and the last number of mine is 1. Other than that the numbers are the same. don't know if that'll make a difference though

Why not put the money into a new modern unit? You get so many nice features, having USB playback is so much better than fumbling around with CDs. You will also have Bluetooth, navigation if you want to splurge.
edit - some units that I like:
Kenwood DDX470
JVC KW-AV61BT
JVC KW-R900BT

I found a unit for $70 on Ebay, so I went ahead and bought it, but the unit's LCD screen is blacked out like the one on my current LCD unit, and doesn't work too. Second purchase gone wrong on Ebay. At least I got a refund. I think I will go to the Lexus dealer tomorrow and see if I can get the part from them.

tanin electric fixes these displays beautifully for about $70. you send your radio to him, and it comes back with ALL the lights working and a new LCD. he posts on these forums and I think he is a site vendor.

I took the unit apart. If I can just get that LCD radio display replaced, everything should be good. I just don't know where to buy one.
