edit - some units that I like:

Kenwood DDX470
JVC KW-AV61BT
JVC KW-R900BT
Do you have a guide on how to install one of these, since I assume the plugs and everything will be different.

you get the harness & dash kit from metra on ebay [single or double] and then wire up the lose wires from the aftermarket deck to the labeled harness from metra - which clicks into the existing car stuff, so no need for splicing/dicing the oem stuff.

I found some on Ebay, but not for the 98 model. Can I get a link?

Also can I get a link to a good device with maybe GPS, etc.
backup cam if possible

So this won't involve like additional wiring under the glove compartment or anything like that correct? Thanks

As far as an aftermarket headunit goes, I would look around on http://www.crutchfield.com/

They have great customer support, nice instructions for specific models, pretty wide range of devices, their site will tell you what will and what won't fit, and once you get past a certain price point for HUs (~130) they'll ship you a dash kit and harness adapter for free.

I installed a whole system (sans amp&sub) in an '03 Mits Eclipse the other day and it was super easy.
