Default 1995 ES300 ECM Swap w Camry? Help really needed.

1995 LEXUS ES300. 3.0L

My ECM is bad. It cut the fuel pump out.

My ECM's part number witten on the ECM is 89661 33440

I found one at a junk yard out of a 1995 Camry, but the part number written on the ECM was
89661-06200

I realize the part number is different, but some forurms say they interchange.

I plugged it in for fun and the car did fire up.

Does anyone know if this will work? can I use the ECM i got from the junkyard or should I find another one?

thanks

So what's the issue using it if you've confirmed it by firing it up? Didn't you just confirm what the other forums you've researched have said?

Well just because it fired up dosent mean that its the right one.

I just want to make sure these are interchangable. I dont want to use the wrong one if its going to cause problems.

On this fourm, there is a post where someone has said they maybe thought it would, but I would like to confirm that with someone who is just not guessing.

Jump on Lexus parts and use the vin option to see if the toyota part # will work in your car.

http://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/l...661-33440.html

I get the lexus part numbers and go to http://www.toyotapartszone.com/ to see if they have it because it's always cheaper. It's kind of goofy for the exact same part #.

Both the part #'s above are found on the lexus site.
