Default 1mz/a541e 96es300 transmission glitch

Sometimes when I put my foot down at lets say 25 the car will shift down through the gears quickly get into first gear but It will pause for a second and you can hear the motor working to some degree like it's under load then after about a second wham the power comes on but the car is niether losing or gaining speed but its in first gear. It's not slipping because the revs stay the same but imagine mashing the brake and gas at the same time except the car doesn't slow down or speed up thats the sound the engine makes. Knock Retard maybe? Missing a bit? I have 10k old plugs, and idk how old wires and coils I haven't changed the fuel filter either.
Any ideas?

Any hopes to resolve it? I'm dropping my screen/filter and putting a new one in soon. I'll get back to you on the result.

Look at how every time when I punch it the speed doesn't go up once the rpms jump and neither do the rpms after 1st gear locks in. Look a the WOT at 1:05 look how the rpms pause for a second when I say oooohhh I cringed lol.

Put in a new screen cleaned the pan real good, btw it was clean other than a little anti seize colored sludge on the magnets and brown sludge not much though. The issue is still there but not as bad as it was and all other shifts are much crisper firmer but good firm like quick direct but not jerky. I used a drive works screen, and Valvoline max life dex/merc.

So I put plugs in too guys, seems to for the most part solved the issue of it getting stuck or hung up after the down change. Hope this helps you man, I also adjusted my kick down cable until the shifts were firm but not sporty still slick and smooth that pretty much took away the issue. Issue is gone but each of those three made it a little better. Hope this helps somebody.
