Higher Speed Acceleration

I haven't posted in a while, but I've noticed that when I'm trying to accelerate fast, after I hit 90-95mph, my acceleration dies and only slowly picks up more speed. How do I stop this acceleration lag? I've heard that short ram intakes will help with this problem, but I've also heard that due to the heat of the air taken into the engine, it will lower the performance instead. What can I do to make my car faster? I am NOT trying to do huge modifications like slapping on a turbo or anything like that.

Clean fuel system? My 04 picks up great at 95-100mph with 94000 miles. i had Injectors and fuel system cleaned using the BG system. Lexus dealer and local shop use it. Works great. Need more info on your car. What type of gas are you using, miles, etc. Hope this helps.

Your 04' has a 3.3L different from the OP's 97', which doesn't have VVTI and is a 3.0L.
