I've got about 153,000 on my 92. I've had it a year and put about 27,000 on it, no major problems. Valve cover gaskets and motor mounts, CV boot; and it's leaking a tiny bit of oil we haven't tracked down yet.

I too have to commend the previous owners of my car, the paint still looks great, interior is in excellent condition. Very slight wear on the leather. The steering wheel is pretty worn at 12 o'clock but that's the only spot where the car shows it's age, I haven't looked into getting that taken care of yet.

152, 000 mile . Original engine and transmission. I haven't notice any problem yet. Except it steer to the right. What can I do to fix that problem ?

For that worn steering wheel leather. I think you should buy that black leather grip cover from AutoZone. It will cover that worn out part and it give you a better grip. Driving with one hand and another hand to wave at the girl

De ja vu:  I was just thinking about my mileage and how it will impact my car through the winter. But I am looking to buy a "reliable" car from the '80s to get me around so I can stop driving my car as much!

I've got an 89 Buick Century I'll be driving through the winter, not much for looks but it runs well.

I'd prefer to have the steering wheel recovered as opposed to using a wheel cover, I may look into the cost of that at some point. I would've loved one of the wood and leather wheels in the GB a while back but couldn't justify spending $400 on the steering wheel in this car.

'89 Century...SWEET! I was looking towards a Celebrity / Corsica / Ford Taurus. Out of all these people out there that have 2-3 Nice cars, I envy the poeple who has an old car that is only used to get you through the week (regardless of looks).

Nice Buick Man!

Nice Buick Man!
I've been driving the Buick to work this summer since I have to go on a stretch of gravel road, protecting the Lexus from rock chips and getting dirty every day. I'm planning on parking the ES and finishing the sound system over the winter, also save all those miles, wear and tear, and the chance for an accident in bad weather. The Century really isn't too bad, especially considering I inherited it; the paints fading on the roof and it's missing a hubcap, so it doesn't look great, but it's the Limited with 3.3L V6, all power, and sunroof.
