Exclamation i need a es 300 motor for my 97



blew my motor last week on my 97 lexus es 300 need a long block where can i get 1 or who got 1 im located in NJ

Get what is called a "JDM" used engine. Just google search on JDM Engine.

Theres one in Rochester New York for about 200 bucks i believe, its on craigslist.

try car-parts, craigslist, ebay, same engine was used in many toyotas so dont look for engine only from lexus

From what I understand, the JDM's (Japanese Domestic Market) are pulled from Japanese cars with an average of 50k miles because the Japanese law requires that used cars be recycled. They are sticklers for low pollution and want new technology on the road. The used engines are allowed to be sold here and usually there is nothing wrong with them. It is certainly worth exploring.
