A/C Shame
I have the a/c light that blinks, and air is not cold.
When I push the button it resets and you hear the compressor engage and the air gets cold for a minute then it cuts out and the light blinks again.
I posted this problem in this forum previously and got multiple answers ranging from the relay, the magnetic clutch, and the compressor.
I have now replaced everything: a new relay, rebuilt compressor, new belt, and also replaced the receiver/dryer and pressure switch. It still does not work!
No leaks in the system. Fully flushed & recharged.
What else could be the problem?
Do I really need to take out the a/c module under the dash? (4 hour labor charge alone)

You could have a stuck expansion valve. Common problem for these cars.

Is this magnetic relay the piece that goes into the evaporator? Or are you refering to the magnetic clutch?
On my little Nissan frontier, the A/C would do similar to what you describing where it would engage and dis-engage. It turned out there was a sensor that actually sits on the evaporator to detect freezing that went bad.
Did you take it to a shop to get diagnosed? For me A/C systems are easy to repair but difficult to diagnose.
