Selling my 1999 ES300...Is this a decent price?
Hey everyone,
It's been a while since I have logged in here, but my work/family have kept me busy. In the 11 months since I bought my Lexus, I have had a few changes, including acquiring another car(Toyota Hybrid) that has become my daily driver due to a better mpg.
I posted my Lexus on Autotrader and my local craigslist, but wanted to see what you guys thought was a fair price.
1999 ES300
142,000 miles
2 owner car, clean carfax, all maint records done by local dealer
all major maint done(timing belt etc)
New battery just installed

Thanks GoodRevs.
I am not in any rush to sell, and have had a few people bite offering lower than what I posted it for(3800-4300).
Part of my incentive to sell is to pay off a small student loan that I have left, and approx 5k will do it. To me, the lexus is worth at least that.

Well, I got something in the mail from my dealer saying they would offer me $9000+ for my 2003 Lexus ES 300, and I have approximately the same mileage on it.
The dealers always jack the prices up, but buyers look for the independent people for the good deals. I think the price you had on it was very fair. Its a Lexus after all. Any Lexus under $5000 is a good buy and ride for any buyer, especially a first time car buyer.
