Default Lowering springs: Yes or no?

I can't decide between having a lower ride height or keeping my smooth, comfortable ride that Lexus is known for. So I guess my question is, how much will lowering springs affect the smoothness of the ride? I know they make it a little stiffer.

I'd recommend getting coilovers with a soft spring set if you want to keep the comfortable ride. For example, I ran Tein springs on my Camry for 5000k before they felt like stock and then swapped to coilovers, which kept the new stock springs feel up until I sold them 25k later

just springs won't do anything to change the ride quality, however performance won't get much better either.

get coilovers, car will handle better but forget about comfort lol

I'll just go with springs due to limited funds. What brand would you guys recommend that will have a good balance between performance and comfort? (and a reasonable price lol)

But if you go that far to install the lowered springs, you might as well get new struts, strut mounts, etc....you are already there.

Agreed. If you are doing springs do the struts and mounts too. The springs will offer a nice drop without sacrificing ride quality too much. They might offer a slightly stiffer ride, but the handling will improve slightly. Just be sure to by quality parts.
Looking at Tanabe NF210 springs and KYB GR2 struts for my ES. They offer 1.5in front/1.0in rear drop with good ride quality.

I had the tanabe DFs...they will def wear out your current struts faster and will require you to eventually upgrade those. After about 3 years, I noticed rust spots on the actual springs. I would leave it OEM
