Hi CL, Im a new owner of a 04 lexus es330 and im having a problem with my trunk closing. Now I had to close the trunk by slamming it all ready, now it wont close at all. I looked at the latch on the trunk and it seems it has wore down so much the piece on the bumper isnt enough to get it to lock in place. I had to tie it down.

now im in search for a now latch and cant find one anywhere. does anyone know where i can get one at for a good price, and will it unlock from my remote, cause the button in the car doesnt work. I think the car was hit from behind.

Any help would be very appreciated.

try removing the trim and see if you can move the latch up. or google "junkyard" for a new one.

well ive slotted the stiker to move it up high and bent the latch to see it that made and difference to no avail.
as for as junkyards in my area, and ebay junkyards, none have it.

I did find one at parts.com, part number 64600‑33110, for $172.75. that seems to be the cheapest i could find via websites.

Does anyone know of any other parts sites that may be a little cheaper?
even though thats cheaper than the dealers and other site $249.00
