Well, I thought that my good friend Cody (EEngineer) would have proved to everyone that you CAN make the ES/Camry platform into a nice driving sporty car, yet everyone is still *****ing that there is nothing available, and you can't do it. Yada yada yada. So here is another one to show if you actually want to, you can.

2MZ-FE 2.5L
TRD SC
TRD Springs
TRD RSB
FULL head back exhaust, everything
Custom intake
Front BBK

Have a set of used coilovers I need to put new shocks in and those will go on the car.

The TRD SC is currently off the car for 2 reasons.
-I think a bearing is going bad
-The 2MZ intake cams are too agressive and cause a very bad boost curve. I will be swapping the cams. Of course, being the 1st one I know of to do any work to the 2MZ, I knew I'd be the guinea pig and have issues. But take it as it comes.

And JUST BECAUSE, to show I hang with the Lex crew on occasion. :-D Yes, I am driving this car in the video. Click pic to see vid.

If you have a 97/98, it;s a direct bolt on. I don;t know of anyone having tried it onthe 99+ (VVTi) yet. I've been itching to see how much (if any) mods have to be done.

Mines a 97, yea if i keep this car longer I might invest in a SC, but finding one at the price I am willing to pay is hard.

I really want to make my 3ES faster, what would you guys suggest I start with? I don't have a very big budget, but I am willing to save up.

Any reason you chose the 2MZ, did you notice a drop in power vs. a 1MZ ? IIRC it has less HP...

I wanted to try it. On flat, power is fine, up hills, you REALLY REALLY feel a lack of torque. I am hoping that in the end, I can get the same amount of power with a SLIGHT bit less of boost in this engine.
