Default 02 es300 rear suspension needs totally redone

My 02 es300 needs to have a rear suspension overhaul at 175K...

My car bounces three times when I push on the back bumper. The car rides kinda low with maybe 100 pounds in the trunk. I hear clunks over bumps and I feel bumps more than I should. My 1991 LS400 was not like this and soaked up each bump with the utmost glory and luxury. This rides like my friends worn camry. No luxury there.

What am I looking at having to buy part wise and where online? I want the soft ride it should have, not stiff or sport like... I will buy all the parts I need and have my mech put them on.

the rear struts are OEM and original. .. No idea what I should replace them with or what else I need to fix the noises and the tired feel in the back in general. I have heard new strut mounts, tower mounts, springs, what? help me out guys

The front struts are new.

I see Monroe sensatrac shocks with OL springs going for $130 each for the rear... I was quoted $600 by a local shop.. ridiculous.

Both my front and back struts are completely worn and the car makes a squeeky noise when i am turning and go over a bump. Was quoted on $500 to install and everything including the part (aftermarket I think cheap) itself. Also when I go over bumps it's like hell.

How much are 02 ES Lexus OEM struts and where can I get them cheap?

Rock auto sells the Monroe product at a very good price.

Be sure to get the strut mounts and boot kit as well as the struts.

Rock auto is online vendor.\

id recommend replacing the rear struts, strut mounts, and rear lower control arm bushings. get oem toyota struts or monroe. for the strut mounts get KYB or oem toyota. rear control arm bushings will have to be pressed out, get the oem toyota ones. also check your rear stabilizer bar bushings and links, most likely they will need replacing, the links tend to make clunking noises when worn. dont skimp out on parts and buy cheap chinese made junk from ebay. my brothers 2000 toyota avalon with 110k had all of the above recently replaced.
i have a 1990 cressida, rear suspension is very similar to your LS400s, and rear end absorbs bumps without the boom-boom that the avalon had and the cress is 10 years older with just new struts, all the rear bushings are orignal...

I think I need to go ride in a low millage es330 to see if a good ES suspension works as well as I want it to.... I am afraid that maybe I am just not happy with the ES330's suspension compared to the apparently more robust and luxurious suspension setup of the LS400 series and that my suspension is operating fine. I am hoping that this is not the case. My brother 2004 accord EX-L rides softer.

I am looking at around $500 for getting all the parts. that is a lot to drop when I don't even know if the cars suspension is even meant to soak up all the bumps.

I have an 01 with on second set of rear struts, good thing is they have a lifetime warranty. My question is, can i just reuse my springs again and just buy the KYB mounts that include belows. At 185k miles i don't want to throw more money then i need to at this thing
