Your Welcome, and no need to flush it with synthetic. Just change the oil like you normally would.

True, the "dummy light" is for low oil pressure, not level.

No it doesn't, but in this case it is. He has stated that he has found the oil level is low when the light is coming on. If it stops coming on when he puts more oil in, then it is obvious that his low oil pressure is the result of low oil level. The question is what is causing him to lose oil. If the low oil pressure warning continues after adding oil, then there is some other problem.
