Default Changing front turn signal in 92 ES300

I just changed my turn signals because my right signals were blinking faster than the left.

There is already a good post on this site about how to change the rear signal which I used to change mine.

I did not find a post on how to change the front turn signal so I thought I'd post one.

I'm sorry about the format of my pics/text, but I'm new to this site and still trying to figure it all out.

You will need an 1157A bulb, a flathead screwdriver, and a 10mm socket and socket wrench.

1. The headlight assembly is held on by 3 10mm bolts.
2. Two of the bolts are covered by the front trim which is held in by pins.
3. Remove pins with screwdriver (I had to remove 4 in order to pry it back enough to get to the bolts. 8 if I wanted to remove the whole thing)
4. Remove the 3 10mm bolts. (Notice in pics 2 and 3 that you only remove the top and bottom bolts - leave the bigger bolt alone)
5. Pull out the headlight assembly.
6. If you rotate the assembly upwards, the turn signal is on the left side, it has a gray back that you turn counter-clockwise about a quarter turn.
7. The signal bulb should come out; unscrew it from it's back and replace with the new 1157A bulb.
8. Line up the bulb assembly with it's socket, push and turn a quarter turn clockwise.
9. Put headlight assembly back on, and attach 3 10mm bolts.
10. Replace the trim by lining it up with the pin holes, put the outside part of the pins in first, and then the middle part.
11. Test turn signals!
12. Close hood, cause you're done!

Nice first post! Should probably make a disclaimer mentioning that if the contact points are worn down too far, hyperblink will continue to happen

Thank you guys,
EyeZack, I did not know that, thanks for the disclaimer.

P.S. My hyperblink was fixed, and the indicator light on the dash turned off the first couple times I started it, but now the light is back on. Any ideas?

Fog Light should be in same general location as the blinker. I'll check mine tomorrow on mine, and take pictures. Mine is a 92 though.

Hey Brad, Just checked my foglights.
To change the foglights on mine, I had to get underneath the car and use that same 10mm socket. Now that I know what I'm looking for, I could probably do it without unscrewing anything, but it's probably just as easy to take the whole assembly down so you can see what you're doing.

You will also need an extension on your socket wrench. I used a 6 inch extension.
There are 3 10mm bolts to take out and one of them is hard to reach.

Once you unbolt them, simply turn the back of the light assembly a quarter turn counter-clockwise and it should pop right out. (The back cover that is)
On the inside there is a silver disc laying flat. That silver disc is the back of the light.
There is a metal latch, about the same diameter as speaker wire) holding the light in place, and that latch is held in place by a fixed hook. Simply depress the latch to unhook it and turn back the latch. This gives you access to the fog light.

Hope that helps, Let me know if you need anything else.

yeah, my ES continually has it due to the contact points. Sucks but I think I'll solder new points for it to connect to. As for the fogs, same process for the entire 92-96 years
