Advice: Exhaust Upgrade

I'm planning on upgrading my exhaust system in the near future and I need some expert advice on how to proceed. I know that at the very LEAST I will be getting a performance muffler installed, but I'm considering doing a custom cat-back system as well. How much would a custom aluminum cat-back system cost? What diameter piping should I get? Also, I want the car to sound more agressive, which is the main reason I'm doing this. But I don't want it to be so loud and raspy that it's annoying or obnoxious. I already have a ram-air intake which does a pretty nice job. Any suggestions on the type of muffler I should get? Thanks in advance :)

the megan cat back for the solara fits ok and sounds pretty nice. it's an easy option, everything else u'd be looking at a custom job like i got.
make sure the upgrade the y-pipe. OBX is pretty much the only choice, but it's a good choice.

I'm assuming that it is the Megan racing OE RS cat back system? Is this a direct bolt on replacement for a 2ES? Modification?

OBX? Didn't see any application for ES, Camry, Solara on their website.

Any value in upgrading to headers (if available) for the standard 3.0 NA engine? This assumes that the other upgrades are done so that it breathes better downstream.

How well (or not) do the stock manifolds breathe?

^ The obx used to be available - headers.

I'd get the vibrant series, the all black canister and weld on some nice chrome tip(s)

When my muffler rots through [small hole that hasn't perforated - yet], i'm going to get one since its already flat black, saves me from painting it and looks OEM, with better sound.

I looked at the headers, and apparently they mainly increase power at high RPM. I'm looking for a boost in low-end horsepower, so I think I'll pass on such an expensive upgrade. How much modifying needs to be done to the Solara cat-back to fit a 2ES? I know it's almost a direct bolt-on replacement for the 3rd Gen.

And what about this?

if you want low end, keep everything stock.
low end will always suffer when you start messing with the exhaust or intake even with a decent tune.

Forget the catback system, I'm just gonna get a muffler and call it a day. I found this one on eBay. Tell me what you think:

no man, it'll sound very droney with just a muffler. trust me.
if you wanna upgrade, do it properly.

I know that you know what you're talking about, so I'll take your word for it and save up for a full system.

You dont need to do a full system on most cars to achieve a nice sound. You do need to pick quality components (Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Corsa). Ebay knockoff junk doesnt count.

I always thought OBX was a pretty respectable manufacturer. Not like Magnaflow or Flowmaster, but definitely up there.
