Has anyone installed push button start for there lexus es330? It looks sweet.

How does this get past the steering column lock?

I can only imagine the wiring behind all this, unless it links with the car's CANBUS to control everything.

Did you have to give up one key to bypass the immobilizer?

I was thinking the same thing. It looks pretty clean. But I can only imagine he had to give up a key to bypass the factory immobilizer. There isn't really a way around that.

As far as installation I took it to an installer he charged me $400 bucks. I did lose a key because it had to be cut into the ingnition to bypass the steering wheel lock.

The ignition has an engine immobilizer that communicates with a small chip in your key to start the car. You give up the key because the installer uses it as a bypass to the factory immobilizer system to start the car with the button instead of with your key.
