Default Alternator Wiring Diagram

need to know, planning to install a HO alt, and want to know the paths of the hot wire of the alt. Looks like it goes into the engine block, and comes out on the other side for the battery connection. . a little confused. thanks. got a 96.

no, whatever bolt is on the other side of the engine for the ground. it is connected to the positive terminal on the battery. the plugs on the alternator? thats just the low voltage light plug....

^yes sir you are indeed correct!

thanks to you, i had to find out for myself. looks like the body of the alternator is the ground. since it is connected to the block anyway.

I heard about that one. Its only 140 amps, and i would like ALOT more lol. i was looking into this universal one at powerbastards.com it runs 110 @ idle, and 220 at 1500. (the power i need).

heres a picture in a 2001 camry: http://www.powerbastards.com/images/022310154653.jpeg

The wiring diagram didn't help me understand like i should lol. I was thinking to just leave the existing power wire and also adding a 1/0 wire to the battery (so i will not have to integrate other wires) do you think this is a good idea??
