Question ES330 Check Engine Light

Is there a trick to reset this light? I kinda remember a deal where you turn on the key then press the gas pedal 3 times to correct something. I have a 2006 ES330 w 25k miles. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Mike

The best thing to do is invest in an inexpensive code reader -- Amazon has them for $35.00 -- sometimes less. That way you can read and clear your own codes -- save time and money.

The codes will just come back?

Go to a Autozone they'll check the code for free. CEL came on my 05 es330 a few months ago it was the gas cap not tighten enough they told me if it occurs again to get a new gas cap.

When you own an older car having a code reader is invaluable -- certainly you can go to Autozone but that becomes a pain and many of them will not reset the codes.

Also -- my mechanic aways smiles about all the cars that come into his shop with new gas caps and CEL on.

The light is on for a reason. Get a code reader or get the code read at a shop. Don't ignore it.
