well, I had the knock sensors replaced today and voila, transmission is shifting fine, all the time. Amazing! $540 total including both knock sensors, 3 intake manifold gaskets, and 1 gal. coolant. Very happy!!!

Just wanted to say thanks guys, you really saved me some time on this one! Having the same issues and the knock sensor code came up. Nice relief to know it isn't the tranny!
