I would like to replace the camshaft seals and any other seals (crankshaft?) along with the water pump, so that I completely stop any possible oil leaks. I'm still a little worried that the timing belt will take me a month to complete, just like the valve covers... If I had another car for the time being, or a back up plan in case I get stuck, I would do it.

I probably will need to order it before I start the timing belt / water pump replacement.
I bought this part http://www.amazon.com/gp/cart/view.html/ref=gno_cart Schley (SP 96800) Nissan/Toyota/OHC Camshaft Pulley Holding Tool. I haven't used it yet so I can't comment on it usability one way or the other.

BTW. my son just took the Camry to college. Of course the power steering belt began to slip once we got there. I guess I'll have to tighten it up when he comes home for a weekend.

First of all, I can't remove the washers because of the little ridge that each bolt has. And secondly, the washers and bolts are sold separately - so how am I supposed to put them together?

EDIT: Part Number 90080-10288 comes with the washer already on the bolt.

i had no tranny problems. at 200K i decided to get its atf drained and refilled, ( no flush). within weeks i was stranded on the hwy. got it repaired for $1900. used are apparently scarce and rebuilt much more expensive. these tranny repair shops are shady. he wouldnt tell me exactly what went wrong. he said we have put every thing new and a new cooler, so i should not expect any more problems. i have put about 5K since and it is running great.
