The 1MZ-FE with MCV10 chassis, '94-'96 (edited), from the Camry and ES300 are the same, indeed, but the TRD S/C will NOT work properly since it's made for the 1MZ-FE with MCV20 chassis, that is present on the '97 and '98 ES300 only, same ones on the '97-'01 Camry and '99-present Solara. Good luck in trying to get an answer from TRD USA, they won't confirm anything that they haven't tried it on, even though they've advertised the S/C for the ES300 and Avalon. But there is a guy in the east coast who has fitted the S/C on his '98 Avalon.

Default 1MZ-FE debuted in 94, not 92

I thought 94 was the first year for the 1MZ-FE. (and hence MCV10 designation) 92-93 were VCV10, think the engine was called 3VZ-FE. The older engine had an iron vs aluminum block, and slightly less HP.
So, it's doubtful it would work on a pre-94 VCV10, if it even were to work on an MCV10. I think the best chance of it working is on a pre-VVT-i MCV20 ES (97-98)

so whats the engine code of the 99+? VVT-i engine?

And is there a way to make the TRD supercharger not conflict w/ the VVT-i?

You're right, squarehat, I was typing too fast to think. I should know about the '92-'93, since I have a '93 Camry with the 3VZ-FE cast iron block, capable of forced induction with higher boost. Unfortunately, nothing of that sort is available. The 5VZ-FE S/C from the trucks wouldn't work because it would hit the firewall.

The '99-current ES300 still has the 1MZ-FE engine, though VVTi is incorporated. There could be a way to make the S/C work, by swapping in a single throttle-body. But still, there is no guarantee that the S/C's EGR pipe would bolt on, as that was one of the problems for the '94-'96 1MZ-FE. There were rumors that TRD would be developing a S/C for the VVTi engines with an injector for cooling purposes (I think) and also, a programmable ECU. But no one has confirm those rumors.

Lightbulb i wish it were

well from what i have found out the 94 is the first 1mz in an es .
It has no vvt 95-96 has the first gen vvt
97 and up has the (the cam acutually changes angles like the v-tec previous ones didn't, not really sure what they did since they drive like mine)vvt-i for intellegence.
The engine block and internals are the same for most of the part.
The big change is the supporting factorsor parts, biggest as previously stated is the ecu, then the spark is provided by a coil on wire not a single coil pack generator,so since all this must be controled ,correct me if am wrong but there is a new eprom for the trd s/c unit isn't there.
better to buy a camry and use it for a donor engine with ecu and other parts with weeks of prep time
you want speed put NOS nothing else will speed up the car incomparison, as no turbo can fit right unless you use the front bank of cyl only as no turbo could fit in the back (ever tried changing the spark plugs back there?
intake, exhaust that's it for mechanicals ,maybe port and polish but that's all that i can see since teh jet ecu is junk as i have heard from others in posts and no one else makes a chip or updated eprom
since there is no way to make a header(that is going to flow any better, look under the car sometime it is a real weird design but unfortunatly the most efficient)

please i really would love if someone could prove me wrong since i love my car but it is a little underpower
