Default Our "new" 2005 ES330

Just purchased an 05 with only 43,000 miles. It was literally driven by a little old lady since new.

This is my first Lexus and am looking forward to this car lasting many years.

I couldn't find many typical problem with this model. The car seems bullet proof. But I would appreciate anything I should keep my eyes on.

Lastly, it's going to cost a bunch of money, but I'm having a Pioneer nav system with sirius installed the end of the week. (Anyone want to buy a stock radio?)

On more item, any chance that the headlight plastic can be restored and stay clear?

Hey, is the stock stereo w/NAV? or Just the CD changer.

Also the headlights are really easy to clean. This model is known for them to get oxidized pretty easily.

Buy

Meguiars Headlight Restoration Kit. It will definitely do the job.

Perfect owner to buy from. Excellent car with no issues at all, does yours have HID headlights?

Thanks. The stereo is labeled "premium" but I'm changing everything to a Pioneer unit with bluetooth, nav and sirius. Also plays DVD's so it will be fun to watch a movie while driving to Vegas (just kidding).

I will order the headlight kit as my MB and my kid's old Acura can use it also. But these headlights look like crap. Must be the California sun. Don't think it has the HID lights.

As far as the perfect owner, the car does have a little ding on one door and needs some touchup from rocks hitting the car. Unfortunately the former owner died so I bought the car from her daughter. Tires only have 5K miles and the oil was just changed 30 days ago.

Registered it today, detailing tomorrow, new radio on Friday. Then it becomes my wife's car unless I need it for a road trip. My MB is terrific (2003 230K) and I love it, but it has 115K miles. This Lexus has 43K. Easy choice.

check out irontoad.com for parts and save money by doing the cabin air filter and engine air filter yourself and I found it very easy to change the oil on my 05 that we got at 48K. the idiot light will come on and tell you when to change it. figure on '13 timing belt etc. change on time criteria.

I'd post pics but it's 100% stock white car. Looks just like every other one.

However, I just had a pioneer DVD, Nav, Bluetooth, Electric Mixer installed. Fits the double din like a glove.

Just drove it from LA to Palm Desert. Drove around the city a bit but mainly highway speeds averaging about 75. Even had about 40 miles upgrade with a headwind. Managed 26 MPG. About 3 less than my MB 230K but more than acceptable for a relatively large car.

Now I gave it back to my wife. She's happy. So I'm happy.

Joke:

Are you married?

No.

Then what do you do for aggravation?

Yeah, I've been all over the country and every 4ES I've seen has had heavily oxidized headlights, besides my own of course .
Just like the older Infiniti G35's had this issue.

It's a shame since the headlights are almost the center point of the car. And they're huge.

Sorry for the delay. Here's a couple of pictures of the unit. It includes sirius, nav and bluetooth. Cost over $1,000 so you might want to shop for alternatives.
