the oem strut bar from the solara is the only strut bar that will fit without any clearance issues.

I took my little C-spacers off, then placed the strut bar on, then put back the C-spacers, thightened down all the bolts, then finished. The strut bar you purchased should work, you may have bend the bar a little to get the holes to match up. I had to bend my bar a little, so it would match up and to allow the hood to close easily. The bar does snuggly hit the insulation under the hood, but no big problem. Just make sure you are not hitting the intake manifold or EGR valves. Otherwise the engine my vibrate onto the strut bar and cause annoying vibration sounds. Good luck.

how do u bend the bar? does it just bent by puttin some force on it or do a need to take it somewhere? thanks

didnt fit. anyone know of a way a can bend it??

bolt one side on like it should be, then twist/bend the other side close to fitting. then you may have to unbolt the first side to get both on, then bolt them both down.

well i tried bending it, twisting it, tried everything but no good. seems as if the bar is a bit short and doest line up. im starting to think that the bar might be the problem. gona return it anyways
