replaced battery now car wont idle...any ideas???

Exclamation replaced battery now car wont idle...any ideas???

hey whats up guys last night put a new battery in the es and now it wont start with out my foot on the gas or stay idling.....anyone ever had this problem..before

Drive it on the roads for a bit. It needs to go through a relearn procedure.

this happens when the battery is not properly grounded to both the chasis and the engine block. confirm these connections. trust me, it happened to me before. exact same problem

This may be way off, but I had similar symptoms after working on my Xterra last weekend. Look for what controls the idle on your car and make sure you didn't bump a vacuum line or electrical connector to it while doing the battery. For the Xterra, it was an electrical connector to the "idle air control valve" which lets air bypass the closed throttle plate when off the throttle pedal.

+1, agree with JSM, your ECU has to relearn it's proper settings.
